The initial movie shows a night driving scene through a visible camera. The pedestrians are barely discernable. The second sequence shows the scene through a thermal camera. The pedestrians are quite visible, but they seem to exist out of context because streetlights and other features of the background are lost. In the final fused image, pedestrians can be seen in the context of the background scene.
